We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team at JHANDEWALA MASONRY LTD. as a Concrete Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of concrete work, from preparation to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth and even finish.
- Surface Preparation: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a stable and durable surface.
- Work at Heights: Work safely at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, such as trowels and mixers.
- Training and Development: Instruct apprentices in the art of concrete finishing and masonry techniques.
- Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Quality Control: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and safety, to meet the demands of our clients.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
