Job Title: Editor

At RSM, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Editor to join our team. As an Editor, you will be responsible for developing and publishing thought leadership content in the form of articles, blogs, research reports, white papers, and audiocasts for assigned industries and/or lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, reports, writes, edits, and publishes thought leadership content in partnership with industry analysts, respective industry/lines of business leaders, and the Communications, Marketing, and Growth (CMG) team.
  • Determines appropriate supporting graphics, including data visualizations, photography, illustration, and related material in partnership with RSM's CMG and design teams.
  • Determines appropriate distribution and packaging for content on platforms, including the firm's internal and external websites, blog, and social media platforms.
  • Manages editorial calendar for assigned industry/LOB team/s, working closely with the core CMG team.
  • Collaborates closely with industry/LOB teams, staying apprised of relevant issues affecting the industry/LOB and how they relate to middle market businesses.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in English or Journalism (required)
  • Five to 10 years of reporting and/or editing experience on general business, finance, or industry in a deadline-driven environment (required)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with published clips (required)
  • Knowledge of The Canadian Press style (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of AP style (required)
