About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at AgeCare Sagewood. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Medication Management: Assist with administering medications, ensuring accurate dosages and schedules.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including laundry and light housekeeping duties.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring residents receive nutritious and appealing meals.
  • Transportation and Mobility: Safely transport residents to and from activities, appointments, and other destinations.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident care, including progress notes and medication administration records.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and other relevant certifications.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
