We are seeking a skilled Granite Setter to join our team at Alliance Granite Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation of granite and marble surfaces.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with granite or marble.
- Mortar Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
- Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
- Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a precise fit.
- Grout Application: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
- Supervision: Supervise other workers to ensure the smooth execution of installation tasks.
- Material Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for each project.
- Work Conditions: Work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses.
- Physical Demands: Handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Work Schedule: Work a regular 32-hour week, with occasional overtime as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
