As a regulated professional licensed by the provincial college of pharmacy, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy team, which is committed to delivering outstanding patient-centered care and surpassing patient expectations. We seek a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individual to perform the authorized duties of the technician as mandated by provincial pharmacy regulatory bodies.

Your Key Responsibilities

Pharmacy Technicians will have the independent authority, responsibility, and liability to prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, including:

  1. Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from healthcare practitioners
  2. Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
  3. Administering injections/vaccinations as permitted by regulations in specific jurisdictions
  4. Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
  5. Verifying the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
  6. Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions
  7. Confirming the accuracy of medication and personal health information in patient records

Qualifications

  1. Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification
  2. Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
