Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Compiler Software Engineer to join our team at Intel. As a pioneer in programmable logic solutions, we enable system and semiconductor companies to rapidly and cost-effectively innovate, differentiate, and win in their markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop software for Quartus, the tool that programs current and next-generation FPGA devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize FPGA hardware features and make them accessible via easy-to-use software interfaces.
  • Enhance tools and infrastructure to enable Compiler operations to be used in new and innovative ways.
  • Implement new features and root-cause existing issues in a large code base.
Requirements:
  • BS degree with 4+ years of experience or MS degree with 3+ years of experience in Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of C/C++ programming experience in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Experience with data structure and algorithm design, particularly graph theory and related algorithms.
  • Experience with high-performance parallel software systems and modern large-scale modular code bases.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing EDA/CAD optimization algorithms for FPGAs or ASICs.
  • Experience with Altera Quartus or Xilinx Vivado software.
  • Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, Perl, or TCL.
