Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Technician Assistant to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our installation crew, you will assist in the service and installation of residential and commercial doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors
  • Work collaboratively with technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade (construction, welding, millwright)
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Any relevant safety training and tickets is an asset (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessment
