We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Trauma and Neurosurgery department at Providence Health Care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and contribute to the advancement of nursing practice excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic, evidence-based care to patients with complex trauma and neurosurgical needs
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care activities and ensure seamless transitions
  • Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and nursing practice
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families
  • Document patient care activities and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
Qualifications:
  • Current General Class (Practicing) Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BLS Certification
  • Recent experience in managing the care of adult post-surgical patients
  • Neurosurgical experience preferred
  • Neuroscience Certification or Advanced Trauma Care Course preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven planning, time management, organization, and coordination skills
