We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Trauma and Neurosurgery department at Providence Health Care.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and contribute to the advancement of nursing practice excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide holistic, evidence-based care to patients with complex trauma and neurosurgical needs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care activities and ensure seamless transitions
- Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and nursing practice
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Document patient care activities and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
- Current General Class (Practicing) Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BLS Certification
- Recent experience in managing the care of adult post-surgical patients
- Neurosurgical experience preferred
- Neuroscience Certification or Advanced Trauma Care Course preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven planning, time management, organization, and coordination skills
