Position Overview

The role of a Child Care Specialist involves providing attentive and nurturing care for children in a private household setting. This position is essential for ensuring the well-being and development of children while their parents are away.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in child care is necessary.
Work Environment

This position is based in the employer's home, with optional live-in accommodation available at no charge, although this is not a condition of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and health information regarding the children.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment within the home.
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings for the children.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Supervise and provide care for children at all times.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments as required.
