We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Unit team at Fort St. John Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized care to patients during labour, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any concerns to the healthcare team
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and new technologies
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
- Successful completion of post-graduate course in obstetrics
- Current certifications in Therapy and Blood Glucose Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Obstetrical examination
- Two years of continuous full-time experience on an obstetrical unit, including labour and delivery
