The Senior Solution Architect will play a key role in leading the design, development, and delivery of large-scale, complex solutions that meet the business objectives of Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries. This includes providing technical leadership, guidance, and advice to Solution Architects, Systems Analysts, and software development teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT architecture, with experience in areas such as POS systems, inventory management, customer experience platforms, and loyalty programs. They will also have expertise in supply chain management, including integrated solutions for warehouse management, transportation management systems, procurement, and logistics.

The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate systems and software.
  • Providing architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Solution Architects, Systems Analysts, and software development teams.
  • Acting as a technical liaison and coordinator in projects or initiatives between external vendors and internal technical resources.
  • Ensuring the solution design developed by Solution Architects meets architectural standards and complies with policies for systems component reuse.
  • Reviewing new and existing systems design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural plans.

The successful candidate will have a recognized degree or diploma in an IT-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience. They will also have a minimum of twelve years of IT-related experience, with a minimum of seven years of senior-level domain experience.
