We are seeking a qualified Elementary Teacher to join our team at Keewatin-Patricia District School Board. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to our students and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
About the PositionThis is a full-time, long-term occasional teaching position that will be filled in accordance with the ETFO Occasional Teachers current Collective Agreement. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching elementary students and will be expected to work collaboratively with other educators to provide a comprehensive and engaging educational program.
Responsibilities- Teach elementary students in a variety of subjects, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
To be considered for this position, you must have a valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of qualification and a strong understanding of elementary education principles and practices. You must also be able to work collaboratively with other educators and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
