Meat Cutter - Part Time Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with meat purchases and provide expert advice on meat products
  • Operate meat cutting equipment to prepare high-quality meat products
  • Maintain a clean and organized meat department, adhering to Metro's high standards
  • Work collaboratively with the meat team to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on meat products and cutting techniques

Requirements:

  • Prior meat cutting experience is required
  • Meat product knowledge and merchandising experience considered an asset
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
