About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team at VG Meats. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food processing and packing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials safely and efficiently.
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, ensuring accurate quantities and quality.
  • Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, ensuring accurate weights and quantities.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Check products and packaging for basic quality defects, reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Work Environment

As a Labourer at VG Meats, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and productivity. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Will train on the job, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • Permanent full-time position, working 35 to 42.5 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency required.
