Position Summary
America Fujikura Limited (AFL) is in search of Telecommunications Field Service Technicians (FST) to support our operations.
The primary focus for our Field Service Technicians will be to deliver exceptional customer service while installing and maintaining products associated with modern home technologies, including home networking, telecommunication services, high-speed internet, and security systems.
Additionally, there will be opportunities to promote and recommend supplementary services and products offered by our clients.
KEY ATTRIBUTES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences, manage objections, and navigate both positive and negative customer interactions.
- Proficient in solutions-based selling, with a knack for recommending products and up-selling services.
- Normal color vision is essential for working with color-coded wiring.
- Capable of handling a physically demanding workload (up to 60 lbs.), including heavy lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Flexible availability for various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, to accommodate business needs.
- Fluent in English, with strong professional communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Self-driven, with effective decision-making capabilities and the ability to work independently.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to work at heights or on ladders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and with other departments.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and regulations.
- Willingness to work in locations that may not allow for returning home.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and high performance, with a demonstrated ability to apply new skills effectively.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum completion of Grade 11 Math.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in sales and customer service is preferred.
- Experience or education in telecommunications is a plus; however, comprehensive training will be provided.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must obtain and maintain a Security Alarm Installer License from the relevant provincial authority.
- Clean driving records are mandatory; a driver's abstract will be required prior to employment.
- Pre-employment criminal background checks are necessary.
- Comfortable with a performance-based compensation structure.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Service areas include various locations as required.
