About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing the end-to-end architecture for our Cloud Data Platform. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers, analysts, and business leaders to drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust, scalable, and reusable data solutions and pipeline frameworks to automate ingestion, processing, and delivery of batch and real-time streaming data.
  • Lead data architecture initiatives and collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Governance, and Business partners to ensure designs are in compliance with data management standards and best practices.
  • Recommend the appropriate data stores and build and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for transactional, Business Intelligence, operational, and analytical platforms.
  • Produce and implement solutions for all stages and aspects of the data solution life cycle, including non-functional requirements such as high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture to continuously improve and enhance the data platform.
