This position plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to clients with complex needs. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of clients.
You will administer medications, manage wound care, and provide catheter and pleurex drain care, all while working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
The Community LPN will assess and monitor client/family strengths and limitations, including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs. Where appropriate, you will encourage client participation in activities of daily living.
The scope of your practice will vary according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population, and you will provide nursing care within the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and within employer policies, procedures, limits, and conditions.
About this Location/Unit:Columbia View Lodge is a Long-term Care Site with 76 beds, offering a range of services including adult day programming and community bathing. The lodge has four units, one of which is a secure unit for special care residents, and the other three have a mixed population.
