Role Summary
What is the opportunity?
As a key member of the RBC Family Office Services team, the Financial Planning Specialist collaborates with advisors to provide tailored, comprehensive financial strategies for High Net Worth (HNW) clients within RBC Wealth Management. In this role, you will also contribute to business growth, identify opportunities, and drive revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed financial strategies that align with clients' unique requirements in areas such as investment, retirement, tax, risk management, and estate planning.
- Customize each financial strategy to offer expert insights on various client issues, including holding companies, employee stock options, individual pension plans, retirement compensation agreements, and charitable planning.
- Simplify intricate strategies to aid advisors in their client interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with the Financial Planning Analyst team to create financial plans.
- Foster a work environment that encourages innovation, creativity, collaboration, and diversity.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external networks and referral sources.
Qualifications for Success
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in tax planning for high net worth individuals.
- Five years of relevant experience in comprehensive financial planning.
- Possession of one or more professional designations in Accounting: CA/CMA/CGA/CPA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial planning software such as Conquest or Naviplan.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the investment and insurance sectors is advantageous.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or Financial Planner (F. Pl.) designation for Quebec is a plus.
