About the Role
American Iron & Metal Company is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at the AIM Recyclage Québec site. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the general maintenance of the premises, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safe operation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment around the facility
- Provide exceptional customer service, including unloading trailers and interacting with customers
- Sort and classify different types of metals
- Weigh and record material
- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains clean and organized
- Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
Requirements
- Experience operating a forklift (a must)
- Experience in metal recycling (an asset)
- Knowledge of metals (an asset)
