Position Overview

The Role

The Senior GenAI Engineer will engage in machine learning engineering tasks to create pioneering Generative AI solutions in partnership with data science and IT teams. The primary focus of this role is to architect and develop Generative AI solutions with robust frameworks, efficient MLOps/LLMOps practices, and thorough governance. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, data architects, platform engineers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Scientists to design and execute generative AI solutions that address intricate business challenges and generate tangible business benefits.
• Work alongside architects and platform engineers to establish a high-performance ecosystem where data scientists and engineers can swiftly develop and deploy GenAI solutions.
• Act as a vital contributor to the solution design team, clearly articulating technical solutions, project specifications, deliverables, and timelines.
• Provide technical mentorship, guidance, and problem-solving assistance to project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies, assessing their applicability to enhance our AI engineering practices.
• Promote the adoption of MLOps methodologies within the GenAI engineering team, ensuring the effective and reliable deployment of GenAI solutions.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning within the GenAI engineering team.

Qualifications We Seek

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in executing and operationalizing machine learning projects from inception to deployment, including MLOps and Model Marketplaces.
• Experience leading GenAI/ML Solution Pods for production-ready AI applications.
• Familiarity with large-scale release management for AI applications.
• Expertise in developing microservice-based architectures for Generative AI solutions.
• Experience working with extensive data sources in complex settings, implementing scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Azure, in the context of Generative AI solution development and deployment, along with common data science tools.
• Strong understanding of generative AI models and algorithms, and their applications in addressing complex business challenges.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a talent for collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Highly driven and results-oriented.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Salary range is expected to be between

$92,190.00 CAD - $171,210.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary based on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees may also participate in incentive programs tied to business and individual performance.
