Job Summary:

NorLand Limited is seeking a skilled Folding Boom Crane Operator/Rigger to join our team at Pacific Industrial Movers. As a key member of our rigging and heavy transport team, you will be responsible for operating folding boom cranes to lift, move, and place construction equipment and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate folding boom cranes to lift, move, and place construction equipment and materials
  • Follow safe work procedures to assist with lifting, lowering, or moving materials and loads
  • Load and unload trailers, tie down loads, tarp loads, and rigging
  • Inspect rigging equipment and folding boom cranes, and calculate capacities
  • Work alongside rigging crews to offload and place equipment using specialized tools and equipment
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained
  • Perform daily inspections of folding boom cranes and rigging gear
  • Maintain good working relations with customers through a cooperative attitude
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Valid Level A Folding Boom 22 tonne and under operator ticket
  • Valid Class 3 BC driver's license
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn and work within a team environment
  • Hiab ticket, forklift ticket, and oversize load experience an asset
  • Valid unlimited knuckle boom ticket an asset
  • Valid Class 1 BC driver's license an asset
  • Rigging experience preferred but not required
  • Able to lift heavy items
  • Honest, reliable, punctual, positive attitude, and flexible availability including work out of town required
