Pharmacist Role at Loblaw Companies Limited

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients, and managing inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Dispensing: Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients' needs.
  • Patient Counseling: Counsel patients in regards to new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive interaction.
  • Community Outreach: Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.).
  • Customer Service: Provide timely and positive resolution to patients' needs and doctors' requests/issues.
  • Cost Control: Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs).
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, and a Class A Pharmacist's license are required.
  • Customer Relations: Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism are essential.
  • Leadership: Excellent leadership and performance management skills are required.
  • Business Development: Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, including the experience of formulating and executing action plans.
  • Technical Skills: Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system, are a definite asset.
