Job Title: Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting research, and teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals.

About the Role:
  • Provide clinical care to infants, children, and adolescents with pediatric brain tumors, including participation in Brain Tumor Rounds and managing Neuro-Oncology patients on targeted therapies.
  • Develop and lead research initiatives in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology, with opportunities for collaboration with basic science and clinical researchers at the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba and the Paul Albrechtsen Research Institute at Cancer Care Manitoba.
  • Contribute to the development of the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology program at CancerCare Manitoba and the Winnipeg Children's Hospital.
  • Participate in multi-institution trials and investigator-initiated trials, with opportunities for site principal investigator roles.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility for registration and independent medical practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a subspecialist Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist.
  • Certification (or eligibility, or SEAP examination equivalency) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
  • Additional training and experience in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.
