Position Overview

The Culinary Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within a dining establishment, ensuring that all food service activities run smoothly and efficiently.

Education Requirements
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Prepare financial budgets and cost estimates.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports.
  • Oversee the delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 individuals, including cooks and food service attendants.
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, crouching, and walking.

Experience
