We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Parkland on Eglinton West team in Etobicoke, Ontario.
As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the provision of quality services that respect the resident's right to individualized planning of services.
You will manage available resources to promote optimal resident and employee satisfaction, oversee the process to respond to resident inquiries, complaints, and comments, and foster the development of a quality culture that shapes the values, beliefs, and actions of all staff through the application of a continuous quality improvement philosophy.
Key responsibilities include leading the facility management team toward organizational, facility, and departmental goals and priorities, working with the management team to promote communication and compliance to policies, procedures, and applicable legislation, identifying and managing risk as it applies to human, physical, and financial resources, and promoting and marketing of the facility and its services within the community and surrounding area.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in health-related fields, business, or hospitality, with a minimum of 5 years of management experience and previous experience in working with the elderly in long-term care or a seniors retirement living environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Etobicoke Region and experience managing in a unionized environment. A diploma in gerontology is an asset.
