Job Summary

Nightingale Electrical Ltd. is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install underground wiring and cables, ensuring safe and efficient electrical connections.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to ensure circuit integrity.
  • Determine the appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults, using diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve issues.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables, ensuring secure and reliable connections.
  • Renovate electrical systems, upgrading and modifying existing infrastructure to meet modern standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying technical knowledge to ensure accurate installations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the electrical trade.
  • Ability to work in various locations, including residential and commercial settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
