About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team at Optima Living. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational support and ensuring the smooth operation of our senior living communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the site team, ensuring alignment with Optima Living's vision, mission, and values.
  • Develop and implement site-level vision, mission, and organizational strategies, ensuring compliance with provincial legislation and accreditation standards.
  • Build and nurture a strong interdisciplinary team of managers and front-line employees, fostering a culture of excellence and employee engagement.
  • Drive results through others, setting and achieving key performance indicators and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to residents.
  • Actively plan for growth and succession, developing talent and ensuring a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, reporting incidents and participating in in-services and fire drills.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property management or a combination of a relevant diploma or degree program in healthcare administration/long-term care or hospitality.
  • Experience in a retirement setting is preferred.
  • Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners.
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle multi-resident requests.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
