We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team at Tipton's Your Independent Grocer. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our meat department is always stocked with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities- Cutting and Preparing Meats: Cut and trim meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and ensure that all products are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that all products are properly stored and rotated.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean all equipment and machinery in the meat department, including band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, sausage machines, and slicing machines.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail sales environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: English.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our meat department is always stocked with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality products.
