Job Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Air Quality Engineer with a strong background in odor management, industrial ventilation systems, and air quality control. This is a full-time position.


Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • General Responsibilities:
    - Comprehensive understanding of processes within the Industrial, Municipal, and Chemical sectors.
    - Expertise in odor management and air pollution control methodologies.
    - Conducting process calculations and determining equipment specifications.
    - Developing design concepts and preparing detailed technical documentation and reports.
    - Collaborating with internal project teams and external stakeholders.
    - Applying scientific principles and existing technologies to address technical challenges.
    - Collecting and analyzing data to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Field Operations:
    - Overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of air monitoring equipment.
    - Conducting field measurements for air flow, pressure, and temperature.
    - Coordinating with equipment suppliers and laboratories for project needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience in project management, proposal development, contract management, field operations, and client relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in air quality enhancement projects, proposal development, and client engagement.
  • Professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and empower a diverse team of professionals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including proficiency in report writing and oral presentations.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations related to air emissions and permitting processes.
  • Experience in Pollution Control System design, Industrial Ventilation, and Environmental Impact Assessments is advantageous.
  • Proficient in standard software applications such as Word, Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
