Vancouver Airport Authority is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Supply Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing contract strategies to achieve best value procurement for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute contract strategies to achieve best value procurement for the organization.
  2. Perform business intelligence analysis to guide and support business units for strategic and tactical procurement initiatives.
  3. Build and manage successful relationships with vendors and support vendor performance management.
  4. Source and procure goods and services using a competitive process.
  5. Negotiate with vendors and prepare various agreements.
  6. Work with client groups and supporting business units to drive the procurement process.
Requirements
  1. Over 8 years of recent experience in procurement in a fast-paced and complex environment, supplemented by a bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or a related field.
  2. A professional designation in Supply Chain Management (SCMP) is an asset.
  3. Strong knowledge and experience in industrial, construction, engineering, mechanical, or maintenance environments is preferred.
  4. Strong business and financial acumen.
  5. Highly skilled at building and managing relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  6. Excellent communication and leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
What We Offer

Vancouver Airport Authority offers a competitive salary range of $87,926 to $114,912 per annum, based on a 37.5-hour work week.
