As a Mechanical Engineer at Peter Lucas, you will be responsible for performing mechanical engineering design work on various projects and acting as Engineer of Record for issued drawings, specifications, data sheets, engineering lists, and construction packages.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems, including process piping, equipment layout, and building services.
- Work with mechanical designers to create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
- Develop and revise technical specifications, scope of supply, and construction work packages.
- Sign and/or seal technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- P.Eng designation.
- Experience with sizing and selection of major mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in process piping design, including P&IDs, piping specifications, and piping isometrics.
- Experience with pumping systems and equipment layout design.
- Knowledge of building services, including drains and vents.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling and simulation.
- Proficiency in piping stress analysis.
- Experience with steam/condensate and refrigerated cold-temperature piping systems.
- Experience with Uranium would be an asset.
