The **Retail Operations Assistant Manager** collaborates with the store manager to strategize, organize, and execute plans within a Sherwin-Williams paint retail environment.
This role encompasses supporting all facets of store operations, which include customer engagement, marketing initiatives, product presentation, inventory management, financial oversight, and ensuring store safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support business strategies aimed at enhancing sales and maximizing profitability
- Foster positive relationships with both wholesale and retail clientele
- Manage store administrative tasks
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, particularly in safety, loss prevention, and security
- Maintain exceptional store conditions and visual merchandising standards, including promotional displays and sales floor arrangements
- Assist in the training, development, performance management, and corrective actions for employees
- Address and resolve customer and employee inquiries or complaints
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to conduct external sales calls to boost market presence
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service, or completion of a Sherwin-Williams Management Training Program
- Previous experience in selling paint and related products
- Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- An associate degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
- Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities
- Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in multiple languages
