Job Overview

  • We are seeking a change management expert to enhance our Capability and Change team.
  • Reporting to the High Performance and Change Lead, your role will involve strategizing and executing initiatives that align with the change management framework necessary for a complex rail infrastructure enhancement program.
  • The High Performance and Change team aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration with our clients and their supply chains, driving program capability and encouraging innovation.
  • This position is based at the client's location, collaborating closely with our Corridor Delivery Teams and an assigned Delivery Vice President.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish trusted relationships with key stakeholders within Metrolinx, including Program Delivery Teams and primary Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, focusing on the transformation's impact on the GO Expansion Program.
  • Implement change initiatives tailored for these stakeholders to:
  • Integrate new skills and processes identified by subject matter experts within functional teams,
  • Address gaps identified through maturity assessments across various perspectives,
  • Implement essential improvements for modern Program Delivery Teams and Suppliers, such as health and safety, planning, commercial changes, and risk management.
  • Encourage collaborative behaviors necessary for strong delivery partnerships between clients and suppliers.
  • Facilitate the successful implementation and integration of change initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of both planned and unplanned change processes, and devise remedial actions to address any deficiencies.
  • Oversee the processes for managing planned and unplanned changes and deliver a 'train the trainer' program to empower teams in their transformation efforts.
  • Provide leadership and management development programs utilizing coaching and collaboration tools to address identified skill gaps.
  • Assist the High Performance and Change Lead in identifying and executing further changes that will significantly impact the transformation and achieve Program Outcomes in collaboration with the Major Program Leadership Team.

Technical Competencies Required

The ideal candidate will possess subject matter expertise from specific sectors or specialized capabilities applied in a change management context across various clients, sectors, and regions.

The essential technical competencies for this role include:

  • A degree in Change Management or equivalent industry experience demonstrating successful outcomes in major change programs.
  • Certification as a change practitioner in one or more recognized change methodologies.
