The Recreation Aide plays a vital role in our community, significantly influencing the lives of residents and fostering meaningful connections.

As a Recreation Aide, your daily responsibilities will include:


• Collaborating with the Team Leader to develop and refine departmental procedures and programs.


• Preparing the activity space as needed and assisting residents in transportation to and from activities.


• Monitoring residents' interests, needs, and progress to ensure a fulfilling experience.


• Keeping accurate records of programs and resident participation, regularly updating the Team Leader on feedback.


• Encouraging social engagement among residents by leading activities or special events, helping new residents acclimate to the community, and fostering conversations.


• Performing additional duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

• First Aid Certification


• Diploma or Certificate in recreation/leisure studies or a related field.


• Experience working with seniors, including an understanding of their motivational needs.


• Knowledge of leisure principles.


• Proficiency in computer skills.


• Valid driver's license (Class F or equivalent, necessary for driving a bus).


• Successful completion of a Criminal Records Check is mandatory.
