About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at GOOD KARMA. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, and is physically demanding.
  • Language: The primary language spoken in this role is English.
