Position Overview

The Elevator Installation and Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in the installation and servicing of RAM Elevator and Lifts' diverse product offerings. This position involves direct interaction with clients to ensure their requirements are fulfilled and to uphold a high standard of customer satisfaction. The technician will inform clients about necessary and preventive maintenance services for installed systems. A keen eye for detail and strong mechanical skills are essential for success in this role.

This position requires travel to various locations throughout northern Alberta, primarily focusing on the greater Edmonton area. Occasional travel across North America may also be necessary to assist dealer partners and hybrid markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, inspection, and servicing of residential elevators and commercial lifts
  • Conducting necessary repair work
  • Delivering exceptional on-site customer service while collaborating with contractors and clients
  • Traveling out of town within Alberta to customer locations
  • Actively promoting preventative maintenance programs
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborating with management for implementation

Required Qualifications

  • Clear criminal background check
  • At least 5 years of experience in elevator and lift service and maintenance
  • Alberta Elevator Constructor Journeyman certificate is advantageous
  • Capability to lift up to 75lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Familiarity with relevant elevator codes (e.g., CSA B44-13, CSA B355-09) is a plus
  • Strong mechanical skill set
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • High level of diligence and attention to detail
  • Proficient with various hand and power tools
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Experience with towing trailers is beneficial
  • Clear driver's abstract
  • Candidates must be at least 25 years old to qualify for vehicle insurance
  • Valid CSTS certification is required
  • Current First Aid certification is mandatory
  • Fall protection training certification is necessary
  • WHMIS certification is required
