Job Title: Plumbing Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Apprentice to join our team at Hydro-Flo Plumbing and Heating Ltd. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with a experienced team of plumbers and learn the skills necessary to become a licensed plumber.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our plumbers with various tasks, including reading blueprints, locating and marking positions for pipe connections, and joining pipes using various techniques. You will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist plumbers with reading blueprints and determining layout of plumbing systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and passage holes
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • Level one, two, three, and four apprenticeship training
  • Basic security clearance
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Physically demanding work environment
