Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic instructor to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing learning materials and teaching lectures for a multi-level class of ABE English (MATH 0400 and MATH 0550).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials for students at various skill levels.
  • Teach lectures and lead discussions to promote student learning and understanding.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Teaching Certificate, or Instructor's Diploma, or 5 years teaching experience plus evidence of engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
  • Experience teaching students with diverse educational, social, and economic backgrounds.
  • Skills in building intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect.
  • Experience integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching excellence, including developing culturally appropriate curricula.
