GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Waste Management Driver to join our team in a dynamic role.
About the Role:
As a Front End Driver, you will operate a front-end truck to provide waste management services to a variety of customers. Your responsibilities will include removing and transporting waste or recyclables in accordance with customer contracts. You will service multiple customers per day, following assigned routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport it to post-collection facilities.
- Open container enclosures or gates to access cans, and roll them into position for dumping.
- Clean loose trash off the truck and surrounding area to maintain a clean customer site and ensure safety on roads and highways.
- Maintain and submit a logbook, daily route/productivity sheet, and vehicle condition report as required by law or company policy.
- Maneuver the truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, using mirrors to back up.
- Monitor operations to detect loose debris, using mirrors or direct sight and/or listening for debris falling onto the truck during dumping.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
- Ability to demonstrate safe driving and equipment operation skills.
