Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Surveyor to perform field surveys, including construction staking, topographic, design, volumetric, and control surveys. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately recording measurements and other data, preparing field notes, and performing quality control for survey work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field surveys, including construction staking, topographic, design, volumetric, and control surveys
  • Accurately record measurements and other data, prepare field notes, and perform quality control for survey work
  • Interpret plans and perform calculations
  • Create and manage survey files
  • Verify existing and set new survey control as required

Requirements

  • Safety-focused and ensuring that safety is a top priority
  • A valid driver's license
  • Experience with GPS and Total Station equipment is required
  • Variety of surveying experience, including civil construction or legal land surveying
  • Knowledge of all other general surveying techniques and equipment would be considered an asset
  • Ability to interpret and use information from maps, graphic drawings, and measurements taken in the field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF editing software
  • Basic knowledge of CADD software, including Civil 3D and Trimble Business Centre
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Motivated and self-reliant to work independently and as a key team member
