North Island Hospital Campbell River and District is seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team. As a regional center for North Vancouver Island, the hospital serves a population of over 50,000 and has an ER with approximately 25,000 visits per year. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of specialties, including ICU, general surgery, anesthesia, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and ENT.
The ideal candidate will be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and will have the opportunity to affiliate with the University of British Columbia's Island Medical Program, providing teaching opportunities to medical students and residents.
The successful candidate will enjoy flexibility in scheduling and a fantastic lifestyle on beautiful Vancouver Island.
The hospital offers a range of benefits, including
* Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
* Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
* Flat fee: $9,000
* Fee Premium: 6.09%
* CME: $2,000/annum year 3-4 and $4,000/annum after 4 years in the community
