The role is pivotal in ensuring the success of the Emerging Risk & Cyber Security Audit team by executing specific individual objectives, plans, and initiatives that align with the overall business strategies and goals. It is essential that all operations adhere to relevant regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
The Senior Audit Manager will collaborate within a team or lead a team to perform risk-based audit evaluations of moderate to high complexity, following the Bank's Audit Methodology. This position will support the Director of Emerging Risk & Cyber Security Audit by planning and executing risk-based technical audits across areas such as Cyber Security, Technology Infrastructure, Cloud, and Digital Banking (including web and mobile applications), to assess the effectiveness of controls in achieving business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in risks related to systems development methodologies (both Waterfall and Agile), project management, automation, data protection, and outsourced IT services.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Implementation:
Lead and plan collaborative risk-based audits focused on Information and Cyber Security of moderate to high complexity, both locally and globally, to determine if risks are effectively managed through appropriate controls or alternative techniques.
In a supervisory capacity, the auditor is expected to create a detailed audit plan that clearly defines objectives, scope, deliverables, methodology, resource allocation, and timelines.
Ensure the quality of assignments through the effective application of the Bank's Audit Standard Methodology and the appropriate use of specific applications and tools.
Optimize the use of audit resources by monitoring the execution of assigned audits, timely escalation of issues, and management of conflicts. The incumbent should seek guidance and resources as necessary to complete audits within established timelines and budgets.
Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to clients during audit opening and closing meetings to communicate and secure agreement on audit plans and findings.
Provide constructive and valuable audit recommendations to senior management, highlighting significant issues within a business context, and collaborate with audit clients to identify and propose feasible solutions.
Present audit conclusions and reports in a relevant context, ensuring they are supported by a well-organized accumulation and analysis of documented audit evidence, with clear and concise content.
Carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision while providing regular updates to audit management and clients regarding the status of assignments.
Proactively stay informed about industry trends and corporate initiatives to support effective continuous monitoring of the Bank's management of information and cyber security risks.
Leadership Development:
Maintain expertise in information security through ongoing professional development and by keeping up with emerging technologies, risks, and controls in the field of information and cyber security.
Offer direction, guidance, and expert advice to global audit teams to facilitate effective assessments of information and cyber security risk management.
When necessary, prepare and deliver impactful presentations on various audit and information security topics to senior audit management and relevant stakeholders across the Bank to demonstrate expertise.
Identify and advise audit teams on the utilization of data analytics and advanced techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit assessments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with audit clients to act as a catalyst for positive change and improvement in information and cyber security risk management.
Qualifications and Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
One or more of the following certifications is mandatory: CISA, CISM, CISSP, CCSP, GCIA, CEH.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential.
A designation in Cloud engineering or architecture would be advantageous.
Skills, Experience & Competencies
A minimum of 7 years of experience in information and cyber security.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in assessing threats and risks related to IT processes and assets.
Familiarity with security assessment tools (such as exploit tools and vulnerability assessment) and Security Operations Centre software (including IDS, IPS, SIEM, etc.).
Knowledgeable in cyber security processes such as web application security, secure network architecture, penetration testing, Red Team testing, vulnerability assessments, encryption, data loss prevention, coding assessment, cloud security, DDoS protection, and malware protection.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team of professionals.
