PJB Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team in a millwork/pre-fab shop environment. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for operating woodworking machines, cutting, shaping, and forming parts and components.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to produce high-quality parts and components.
- Study plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate production of articles.
- Assemble and trim joints to form complete units, reinforcing joints as necessary.
- Sand and finish wooden surfaces, applying veneer, stain, or polish to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced millwork/pre-fab shop environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires physical stamina, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow plans and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
