Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our cleaning services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cleaning teams, managing budgets, and implementing strategies to drive growth and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage a team of cleaning supervisors and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the continued growth and development of our team.
- Operations and Logistics
- Oversee the planning and execution of cleaning schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and within agreed timelines.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including staff, equipment, and materials, to ensure the efficient delivery of our services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Business Development and Growth
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to win new contracts and expand our client base.
- Work closely with our sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to ensure that we remain competitive and adaptable.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Recruit newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and provide mentorship programs to pair them with experienced employees.
- Support for Indigenous People
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Support for Visible Minorities
- Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
- Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
