Position Overview

The role of a Laundry Worker involves essential responsibilities in the care and maintenance of various fabrics and textiles. This position is crucial for ensuring that all items are cleaned and presented to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chemical Handling: Accurately mix and apply detergents, dyes, bleaches, starches, and other cleaning solutions.
  • Machine Operation: Operate specialized machinery for dyeing, spraying, re-oiling, and buffing suede and leather garments.
  • Folding and Packaging: Hand fold and package shirts, sheets, and other laundered items with care.
  • Ironing: Utilize hand irons to finish fine linens and delicate silk garments.
  • Finishing Techniques: Operate finishing equipment, including steam pressers, to ensure garments are presented impeccably.
  • Assembly: Assemble and bag finished articles for distribution.
  • Touch-Up: Use hand-held steam irons for final touch-ups on garments and other articles.
Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
