Early Childhood Development Outreach Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Development Outreach Worker to join our team at the Prince George Native Friendship Center. As a key member of our Aboriginal Infant and Family Development Program, you will play a vital role in providing essential services to Indigenous families with children aged 0-6 in the Prince George area.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide outreach services to families, promoting healthy early childhood development and empowering parents to nurture and care for their children.
- Collaborate with community partners to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families and children.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each family.
- Conduct home visits, assessments, and evaluations to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide education and support to parents on early childhood development, parenting skills, and community resources.
- Diploma in a related field (e.g., ECD, CYC, Social Services, ECE) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum one year of experience in family support and two years of experience working in an Early Childhood program or Non-Profit Agency.
- Valid First Aid Certificate and Class 5 driver's license with a clear driver's abstract.
- Criminal Record Check and review required.
- Excellent benefits package, including extended health benefits and a RRSP plan.
- Starting wage $25-$30 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
