About the Role

Ornge is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Paramedic to join our team. As a Critical Care Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing emergency medical care to patients in critical condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Treat Patients: Conduct thorough assessments of patients in critical condition to determine the extent of their injuries or illnesses and provide emergency medical treatment as needed.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients to hospital or other medical facilities for further medical care.
  • Document and Record: Accurately document and record the nature of injuries and treatment provided to patients.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure that ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies are properly maintained and up-to-date.
Personal Qualities and Skills
  • Accurate and Reliable: Possess excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and reliability.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be able to adapt to changing situations and priorities in a fast-paced emergency medical environment.
