Meat Department Manager

About the Role:
The Meat Department Manager is a key member of the Thrifty Foods team, responsible for leading the meat department to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop department staff to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop department staff to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
- Manage department budgets and labor costs to ensure profitability
- Develop and implement visual merchandising and product presentation plans to drive sales and customer engagement
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve store goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including food safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months of retail store experience, meat experience preferred
- High School Diploma
- Full knowledge of total store and department operations
- Experience reading and analyzing financial reports, and experience in developing and adhering to budgets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Above average communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
