About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to join our team at Gurmeet Singh Gill. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our elderly clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical well-being
  • Launder clothing and household linens to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to ensure a safe and comfortable living space
  • Provide companionship and social interaction to alleviate feelings of loneliness
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Shop for food and household supplies to ensure our clients have access to essential items
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to promote healthy eating habits
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Punctuality, efficient interpersonal skills, and reliability are essential for this role
  • Experience working with elderly individuals is an asset
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment and be required to work in the employer's/client's home.

Language

The primary language of communication for this role is English.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent position, requiring 40 hours of work per week.
