We are seeking qualified Physicians to join our multi-disciplinary teams of healthcare professionals and clinicians at WCB Alberta.

About the Role:

As a Physician, you will be responsible for assessing workplace injuries and medical conditions, and playing an integral part in a worker's early return to work. This may include obtaining history, conducting physical exams, diagnosis, expediting necessary investigations, providing treatment, and the coordination of care, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess workplace injuries and medical conditions
  • Generate consult reports as a means of communication to the treating physician/s and the referral source
  • Function as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Comply with ethical, legal and professional guidelines and standards
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations and medical insurance
  • Develop familiarity with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the organization and work collaboratively to achieve them
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
  • Active and unrestricted License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
  • Paid malpractice insurance
  • Experience in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and non-clinicians
  • Ability to use electronic communication tools and general computer knowledge
